Leominster is a city on the move.

Moving forward with technology, moving forward with creating jobs, and moving forward with education. We didn’t stop when COVID hit. And we didn’t stop when catastrophic flooding hit.

Now, thanks to our efforts to build an affordable community with a high quality of life, Leominster is the place people want to be.

We were the only community in Massachusetts that had a plan for a pandemic before it happened. So when it happened, we were ready. Our city employees remained dedicated to continuing to provide every city service. Even in a pandemic, it doesn’t mean we stop progress. In fact, our team worked harder than ever.

And when we got 11 inches of rain in just 4 hours, our commitment of the past 30 years became evident. Although sewer separation may not be first in peoples’ minds, our work in being one of the only communities in Massachusetts to complete the job of separating sewer and stormwater saved us from instant contamination of our water system during the flood.  Our work on strengthening roads, bridges, and dams contributed to our ability to keep the public safe.  And our trained and experienced personnel with state of the art equipment ensured there was no loss of life that night or in the days following.  It was a huge, unexpected challenge but our team rose to the occasion.

As a team, we’ve touched every corner of the city…every neighborhood. Whether it’s improving our schools, creating and renovating our neighborhood parks, or partnering with the private sector to build and repair housing, if it’s been important to you it’s been important to me.

City wide we have worked to improve our infrastructure, build and modernize new and existing schools, and bought thousands of acres of open space to ensure our City’s quality of life is protected for generations to come.

As we move forward, we will never lose sight of what makes Leominster so special. The neighborhoods, the people, the stories, the nicknames, and most of all the feeling of pride that comes from every street…every corner. The good people of Leominster are why I still love running up the front steps of City Hall every day.

Together we’ve been able to accomplish so much and I’m so honored that you have allowed me to continue representing you as Mayor for over three decades.

I am so excited at all we have planned in the future. Attracting new companies to our business parks to build our economy, marketing Leominster beyond our borders, and enhancing our quality of life through new projects, new events, and new opportunities will ensure Leominster is a place that we will be proud to pass on to our kids and grandkids.

Thank you for all your support, ideas, and help over the years. I hope you will once again place your trust in me this November. I would be truly honored for your vote on November 4.
